Ingredients fresh strawberry cake


Cake
1 cup mashed strawberries
2 1/2 cup ap flour
1/2 tsp salt
2 1/2 tsp baking powder
1/2 cup butter
1 1/3 cup sugar
2 large eggs
1 tsp vanilla extract
Cream Cheese Frosting
8 oz cream cheese
1/2 cup butter
3 1/2 cup powdered sugar
1 tsp vanilla extract

how to make fresh strawberry cake


Preheat oven to 375°F and prepare 9x13 pan


In a medium bowl: mix flour, salt, baking powder; set aside


In a mixing bowl: cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in eggs one at a time (beat well after each). Add vanilla and blend well.


Slowly beat in about 1/3 of flour mixture into creamed mixture with half of the strawberries


Beat in another 1/3 of flour mixture and rest of strawberries


Blend in remaining flour mixture and beat until smooth


Bake 25-30 minutes. Cake will sprink back when lightly touched. Cool on rack.


Beat cream cheese and butter. Add powdered sugar and vanilla. Beat together until smooth


Frost and enjoy!
